Elita Rehabilitation Center (Lviv, Ukraine) is a high-quality and effective rehabilitation of patients with different neurological disorders, including cerebral palsy, scoliosis, sequelae of cerebrovascular disease, craniocerebral trauma, motor developmental delay in children, etc.
Our uniqueness and the main difference from all other rehabilitation clinics is that for treatment we use the Method of Professor Kozyavkin, which in 1993 was officially recognized in Ukraine and recommended by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and in 1997 was included in the encyclopedic edition of children's orthopedics by Fritz Nitard as one of the four most effective treatments for cerebral palsy in the world.
The Elita Rehabilitation Centre is the very first medical institution to put the System of Intensive Neurophysiological Rehabilitation, known as the Professor Kozyavkin Method, into medical practice.
The Center was created in 1990 in Lviv (Ukraine) thanks to the assistance of many international organizations. The rehabilitation center’s favorable location in the green and isolated area in the close vicinity of the city center definitely adds much to both patients and medical staff here feeling more comfortable, secure, and relaxed.
The uniqueness of the centre lies in its exceptional technologies in the field of medicine having been put into practice from the very beginning of the centre's activities.
Thus, the Elita Rehabilitation Centre has become the first medical institution in Ukraine provided with the computerized electroencephalography equipment suitable for Brain Mapping.
Today, the rehabilitation centre can be deservedly perceived as a powerful base for conducting in-depth and extensive research on physical therapy, including the development of new methods and technologies for rehabilitation on both theoretical and practical levels.
The fundamental principles for load dosage during therapeutic procedures in the INRS program were developed thanks to neurophysiological studies of brain functions, and studies related to characteristics of cardio-vascular and respiratory systems in patients suffering from organic lesions of the nervous system.
In 1998-2000, the employees of the center worked out a pilot project – "Assisting Children with Behavioral Disorders and School Adaptation Difficulties” – which highlighted the effectiveness of the Kozyavkin Method for treating such children.
Researchers of our center made the ukrainian versions of internationally known child development tests and that made it possible to put them into medical practice – the Gross Motor Function Measurement test (GMFM), the Pediatric Evaluation Disability Inventory (PEDI), and the development screening test, DENVER II.
Quality standards
According to the resolution of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 765 since July 15, 1997 “On approval of the procedure for state accreditation of health care institutions” and in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine since March 14, 2011 “On improvement of state accreditation of health care institutions” ”Medical Center LLC“ Elita Rehabilitation Center” has passed the state accreditation. Based on the standards of state accreditation of medical and profilactic institutions an examination of the institution's compliance with the established criteria in the medical center of LLC "Rehabilitation Center "Elita" was conducted and assigned the highest category by the Main Accreditation Commission at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and issued an accreditation certificate MH № 014190 from 30.11.2018.
Medical services provided by the Rehabilitation Center "Elita" meet the requirements of the national standard DSTU ISO 9001: 2015. We received a certificate of compliance with this standard after an audit by TUV SUD in April 2021.
At “Elita” Rehabilitation Center, medical services meet not only the national standard DSTU ISO 9001: 2015, but also the international ISO 9001: 2015. The certificate of compliance with this standard was obtained in May 2021 after an audit by the international company TÜV SÜD.
